IN response to Mugabe snubbed Kazungula over ‘donor influence’: Charamba, MADYIRA says: It is unfortunate that Presidential spokesperson George Charamba is now bad-mouthing the late former President Robert Mugabe, yet when he was alive, the same Charamba was defending him even when he was wrong. In a normal democracy, Charamba should have long resigned from his position by now. He is a double-headed snake who does what suits him at any given time. Mugabe had his close lieutenants, President Emmerson Mnangagwa included, so if he failed, Mnangagwa also failed as he was part of the system.

IN response to ‘Teachers being forced to attend Zanu PF rallies’, CHITOFU says: Teachers have always been suffering at the hands of Zanu PF, especially when it wants votes. The ruling party has always used force to make the educators attend rallies. The new dispensation is insincere about the welfare of teachers as it does not give them the respect they deserve. The true colours of the second republic are now coming out. What changed after the late former President Robert Mugabe’s departure is the face, but the policies are still the same, or even worse. The Zanu PF youths, who have nothing to show for supporting the ruling party, are busy terrorising teachers, yet their chefs are sending their children to foreign schools where they access quality education because educators in foreign lands are not harassed, good education is guaranteed.

IN response to Intra-party violence rocks Mwonzora party, CHAUYA says: The crumbling of the MDC-T led by Douglas Mwonzora comes as good news because that party is an extension of the ruling Zanu PF party, which is tormenting the masses.

IN response to Farmers bemoan low maize producer price, CHOPPER says: Government should start supporting farmers because they are the ones who feed the nation. In this day and age, paying a farmer a meagre $32 000 per tonne is pure explotation, to say the least. Farmers need money to buy inputs which are sold in United States dollars and that means farmers have to buy forex on the black market to remain in business. Government should treat farming as a business and make it a policy that farmers are treated with respect.
