Man killed over gambling

A 54-YEAR-OLD man from Ngozi mine squatter camp in Bulawayo has been charged with murder after he fatally stabbed a teenager in a gambling dispute.
Khumbulani Tshuma (54) was not asked to plead when he appeared before Western magistrate Shepherd Mjanja on Thursday.
He was denied bail and remanded to May 31.
The court was told that Tshuma and the teenager only identified as Pandozi (17) were gambling at Ngozi Mine on an unnamed date, but in May when a misunderstanding ensued.
During the fight, Tshuma allegedly stabbed Pandozi once in the abdomen, killing him on the spot.
He was arrested on May 15 and four witnesses are testifying against him.
