Chiragwi who was installed as acting coach following the dismissal of former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari following a poor run of results.

The Mhondoro-based football side has gained notoriety for its turn -over of coaches having also sacked Rodwell Dhlakama earlier this season.

The club hierarchy has decided to give Chiragwi a chance to prove himself until the end of the season.

And he got off to a winning start in his first match when the miners defeated Triangle 2-0 at the Baobab last week and this weekend he hopes to build on from the positive result.

It’s not the first time Chiragwi has been given the responsibility after he was also tasked with leading the team after the club management sacked Dhlakama.

Cranborne Bullets however, could prove a tough proposition for Ngezi given that they are in the relegation fight. The Nesbert Saruchera-coached side are in 13th place on the log standings with 25 points after 23 rounds of matches and are aware a win will put them some distance from relegation danger.

“We are doing so well at home and we need to do the same in away games. We have a lot of youngsters in the team who are still learning the ropes. But we remain confident of surviving relegation,” said Saruchera.

The five teams below them are in an almighty scrap to the dreaded chop, with ZPC Kariba on 23 points, Harare City (22), Bulawayo City (21), Tenax (21), and Whawha (19).
